CBP to Restart Inactive IOR Number Voiding Program Next Week

CBP plans to start voiding inactive importer-of-record numbers next week, an agency official said during a June 6 conference call. There will be around 20,000 IOR numbers in the next round, which are all of inactive status, according to officials.

Norfolk Southern Service Alert – Kansas City

Please see latest NS updated dated 6/8/2019:
Norfolk Southern continues to experience service interruptions to and from Kansas City due to the flooding of the Mississippi and Grand Rivers. Embargoes and gate closures remain in place to prevent additional traffic from congesting the network. While water levels are dropping slowly, the route to Kansas City is expected to be out of service through at least the middle of June. Norfolk Southern’s Engineering Department is actively assessing the condition of the rail network in the impacted areas and will restore service as soon as it is safe to do so. Norfolk Southern continues to work with other rail partners to detour trains where possible to minimize shipment delay. Norfolk Southern appreciates your patience and will continue to provide updates as conditions change. If you have any questions please reach out to our team.
